Two BackSlashes and >Two Months

Well, this was not the first post I wanted to post in this blog but isliye likh raha hu, because the latest mast incident I experienced.
More than 2 months back, some pre-study test was going on for an integration of our product with something , somewhere in the world in some Brain Lab [as they call it ;-P ]. An issue came up, the people in Brain*** contacted the team in Best. A discussion started and they had no clue whom to contact for the solution. The team in Best contacted our team in Bangy. Again discussions, sories exchanged, deadlines, no time etc...But finally they got time and did some analysis and deduced that there are 2 packages which can have the possible bug. One ownered by Best other in Bangalore. Okay, the people in Best did their job, not a problem on their part. --->implies---> problem on our head.
Okay some more estimates were done. more analysis. okay it was approximated and assumed that an effort of 5-6 days would possibly fix the solution...POSSIBLY!
So, finally the bug was raised and unfortunately assigned to me :((
I was like ..ufff..itna chaotic and maybe 'important' kaam mujhe kyun mil gaya.. Architect ne kaha, do some analysis and for geometric reconstruction and what not..take help from... Complex Maths also involved...nooooooooooooo
khair..dekha...debuggging..debugging...whole day and night(not full..he he)...
and finally..
what was the fix..?

code review..delivered..sent to the people who had the issue.
I was told to send a mail to the people with the my code with the fix..Sent..
5 min baad I got a reply...There is no difference between the code we have and what you have sent.
meine kaha..dhyan se dekho..ek line commented hai :P
..khair..no reply..
and kal I got the info that they have tested..whatever test they were doing in the Brain*** and the fix had solved their problem....
ha ha ha...
2 backslashes kept someone waiting for 2 months :D :D :D :D
[of course they were doing other stuff and the development teams were also busy in work...]
but whatever...2 backslashes!!!!
